About Us

Troy and Scott took similar yet different paths prior to the formation of FR Law Group. Troy graduated from DePauw University in 1986 and went directly to law school where he graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1989. He immediately moved to Phoenix where he began his practice with a large Arizona-based law firm. He continued to practice in Arizona eventually joining two large national law firms, where his practice emphasis was on insurance recovery on behalf of large and medium-sized businesses.

Scott graduated from Arizona State University, College of Engineering, in 1993, and received his Masters in 1994. From there, Scott worked as a construction engineer for an international construction company. With his interest peaked, as it had been from childhood, he went to law school to further hone his construction portfolio. He graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 2001. Upon graduation, Scott started his practice with a large law firm and eventually returned to the construction industry, where he served as general counsel for one of the country’s largest contractors.

In 2017, both Troy and Scott were looking to utilize their skills and apply them for clients who wanted large law-firm trained lawyers without the overhead and costs associated with large law firms. They were both anxious to devote their time and attention in the legal arena to meet their clients’ needs. They both enjoy investing time to understand each client’s business market, concerns, and market pressures on the client’s industry. It is with this passion and appreciation that they formed FR Law Group in 2017. They have not regretted a single day. The future is bright and they are excited for their clients’ successes.
